Wisconsin Democratic Party supports postponing the elections!!.
The Presidential primary and other elections within the state of Wisconsin are scheduled to be held this Tuesday on April 7th. However, amid the coronavirus outbreak, the Wisconsin Democratic Party has involved rescheduling Tuesday’s elections splitting with the views of Democratic Governor Tony Evers. Democratic Party chair, Ben Wikler, said - “Our party endorses the decision by civil rights groups and mayors across Wisconsin to reschedule the April 7th election and uplift barriers to safe voting by mail,” during a statement on Wednesday.
Wisconsin election is one among the sole presidential elections still scheduled to require place in April, as there's a shortage of poll workers and concerns regarding the votings face to face . Several different groups of the state asked for coronavirus-related changes. US District Judge William Conley heard the case, and therefore the changes include postponing the election to a special date and requirements around absentee balloting. Additionally, a lawyer representing both the Democratic National Committee and therefore the Wisconsin state party said that both groups agreed for rescheduling the election amid the general public health crisis if the court also decides on doing it.
